Which would you get and why? My friend want either a z06 or gt500, I like the z06 because its more of a sports car, but the gt500 is more o a regular car and it comes in convertible, but needs rims because those 18's look bad on i, the car looks really big and wide the wheels and tires are so tiny on it.

If I had the $, I would look a the GT500, I am more of a fan of the muscle car or pony car than to sports cars, than being said the ZO6 is a wicked car that is faster, and outpreforms the GT500 is pretty much any department, probably even gets better gas milage. As far as modding goes, I would think the forced induction on the Mustang gives you a vast aftertmarket to pick a few bolt-on that are very effective, but the Z06 canfind some serious power in bolt-on as well(MrRodger's). The Viper is a nice car, but I think the GT500 and the Z06 look, and soundbetter. It is just me or do V10s sound funny? It is all a matter of personal perferenc,e and you really can not go wrong with any of them.

If someone gave me a GT500, i'd sell it dont even care what I got for it. I don't like the body style to begin with, but i absolutely had thte stupid 'shelby' stigma that comes along with the car.
I think i'd hate it less if it was just the SVT cobra. Still looks terrible for what it costs, you can get a C6 for the same price and it blows it away in every catagory minus seats.

I actually have a Car and Driver issue that compares the three, and personally I would most likely go with the Z06, (MrRodgers has somewhat influenced that via 206 mph) also it has been a while since I've read the mag, but I think that the Z06 was the top performer in almost all categories if not all categories if I remember right.
SRT-10... more looks, as fast as a Z06 with some practice... IDK that's about it
the only reason I would take the Z06 over both of them is because thenew C6 Z06 SS'sare comingwith a semi auto paddle gearbox... and since either of these cars would be my first manual... not a good idea

I hope your not talking about the non Z06 version??? If so than your crazy, it has 400hp and 400lbs of tq compared to the GT500's 500hp and 480lbs of tq. Granted the C6 Vettes weighs right around 3200 compared to the GT500's 3900lb boat, I still think the GT500 gets it in the power, looks, 1/4 mile, well just about everything except handling. Now the Z06 is a totally different story.

1. The SRT10 is not as fast as a Z06 no matter how much practice you get in.
2. There is no paddle Z06, only a 6-speed manual.
