Well to me Rdot9, and this is jus my opinion everyone, that little thing looks tacky, or cheap.  Ford could have done much better on the interior of these cars IMO, not that i dont like the interior, in fact i love it, but with all the technology and other "lesser quality cars" with better interiors out there, i feel that a small reflector inside the door is not needed. Whats it for, in case my door is open and a car is riding by at night? and the biggest reason why it has to go......it doesnt go with my black on black theme

If your car breaks down of the side of the highway, that reflector could save your car if you left the door open...

Nah, I wouldn't use black tape. The heat would cause the glue to melt and get all over your door. If you must hide it, paint it black.

I realize its there for safety reasons, but its kinda small so i dont think ill be taking a huge risk by gettin rid of it, but also im not worried about the breaking down thing for two reasons, 1 being hopefully my stang wont break down on me anytime soon, and 2 being that i always carry a emergency kit with me since i started driving my last car which was an 88 oldsmobile cutlass with about 150k miles on it, and in that kit i keep reflectors in case of such an emergency, but yea i think the tint spray should work ill have to try it and let you all know how it works......but does anyone have any idea how they might come off?? or will i be the first to venture into this........

I know they snap in, but I'm not sure if you can get them off from the outside. I checked them out when I had my door panels off while changing speakers out. There is actually a hole behind them like they considered putting a light there and didn't to reduce costs or something. If you decide to take the door panel off, it isn't too hard, just a bunch of screws and a couple panels to pop off.

I put a chrome backing all around mine, and then a clear lens over the whole thing.  Custom door altezza reflectors.
Everybody's doing it.

I don't think Ford designed those reflectors. I've seen the same ones in a Grand Prix rental car.

i dont think i would like them.  mabe you could remove the reflector and get a  grille pony  or the tri bar emblems to hide any holes

I would bet you could paint the interior reflector.  If you still want to have the security of a reflector when you door is open....I also know you could place a reflective tape all along your door frame near the latch which would be even more visible. 3-M makes reflector tape that is easily cut to any shape you might want.  it would be a cheap mod and still provide you with the what you want.  A blackout for the internal reflector....while still providing the night visibility on your doors.  Just a thought.
