is it possible......
to take a 03-04 svt cobra and run the 1/4 mile in the 9's with the stock supercharger, trans, block, heads??
cuz i think it is :D |
RE: is it possible......
yeah absolutly... if you're running the 1/8th...
|
RE: is it possible......
well i heard of one guy doin it and the shelby did it so i was wondering
|
RE: is it possible......
Theres no way you could get it into the 9's on a stock supercharger. Even with an upper and lower pulley its not gonna happen. 10's maybe... 9's, not gonna happen.

RE: is it possible......
i thought there was a guy on svtp or one of those sites that went 9.9 on the stock blower. ot may have been 10's though i don't recall .lest just say the car ain't much of a street driver anymore, no a/c sound system interior except one seat, no powersteering etc...

RE: is it possible......
I know there was a guy on a ported eaton I believe that ran a low 10, but his car also had 600+lbs of weight reduction... I think his race weight with him in it was like 3200lbs..
The Evolution Performance Shelby did do it on the Eaton (which is a better Eaton then ours), but also had 4.30 gears, all out suspension, and weight reduction.I know the blower was pullied... but they put the Shelby on a diet, gave her power and gave her expensive legs to run on, lol... |
RE: is it possible......
I personally know a guy that ran 10.3 full weight except wheels on a ported eaton and nitrous and IRS. The guy that got into the 9s was weight reduced and i think had a solid rear

RE: is it possible......
ya i know and read up on the shelby doin the 9's and it was a full out striped drag car so i thought its possible because of being lighter to begin with..
|
RE: is it possible......
ohh and why is the Eaton better on the shelby than on the terminators? just because of a larger engine?
|
RE: is it possible......
ohh and what makes the shelby's Eaton better than the terminator? because of a bigger engine or better technology?
