I've been working for $6.50 for a few months now, and that's absolute crap. I was just wondering what you all do to pay for your mods, I see a lot of you guys do stuff like rear end build up, exhaust, body work, UDP, CAI, wheels. That stuff isn't cheap, so what do you all do to pay for your mods? Right now I have an exhaust and some vinyls on the back, I'd have more mods I just can't pay afford it with my job. BUT good news for me, the Dodge (I know, this is a FORD Mustang forum) dealership just called me this morning and the guy was asking when I can start working. He said I'll start at $8 and move up to $9 in a month. When school starts I'll be working 30 hour weeks, so I'll have some mods going. I'm just wondering how you all are doing. Please don't move this to general, there aren't many comments there. And if you're like 40 years old with a career and a large savings account, its pretty obvious how you pay for your mods. This is mainly for the kids in school to talk about how they pay for everything.

I really don't know. Ask the girlfriend. She gets mad that I never buy HER anything, and I spend all my money on the car . I buy little things in bunches. Then one big purchase (like new amps I'm getting soon). Look around the For Sale section. I get a lot of stuff used. Or I will buy the part, whatever it is, then just throw it in the garage until I have time to install it or money to take it to get installed, especially if it is an awesome deal I just can't pass up.

I am 20, and I make $16 an hour working at best buy, and I am also a full time student which makes it even harder to save and work more hours. I have two bank accounts, one I use to pay the bills and the other is my savings account. That way I always save money, and when something that I want to buy comes up, I have the money to buy it....

Hmm.......I currently make $12.19 with only gas, insurance, repairs, and a small college loan payment I'm starting on early, needless to say, I have a lot to play with. I get all most stuff mostly from www.mustangsunlimited.com but other sites I buy from include: www.mgw.ltd.com www.uprproducts.com www.autobadges.com www.americanmuscle.com www.hosetechniques.com as well as maybe one or two others. I am moded well enough that I can manage to pull off sponsorship based discounts, but generally speaking I just try to find the cheapest site and go with them.
