Since there is an interest in having a thread on top to show off our engine bays, I think we should make some basic rules.  1.  Try to get the best shot of your engine bay as you can.  2.  List what you have.  In other words which engine, which uprades if any etc.  We will pin this to the top so that everyone on here can see pics of our engine bays and ask the owners questions about how they achieved the performance and look that they did.  This is just for engine bays.  We already have a pin for the whole cars.
Here's mine to start.
1965 289 C code basically stock with a shroud, Monte Carlo bar, Export brace and radiator overflow tank.

I'll contribute. I posted these in the last engine bay thread.

Bay - stripped and sandblasted, etching primer, laquer primer, then a semi-flat black. (sprayed with HVLP gun, not a rattle can)
Engine - rebuilt 351w (original to car), bored .04 over. Edelbrock performer intake with edelbrock 650 cfm carb (electric choke), plus a high volume aluminum water pump. I put an export brace on, and eventually a monte carlo bar. Also have a stock style 3-row radiator rather than the original 2-row. Oh I aslo have a 100 amp alternator. EDIT, forgot, also have MSD 8.5mm spark plug wires, new cap and rotor, and pertronix ignition (now blown )

Car- 66 Mustang- Project- 66JameStang and JMD,

Well I want to give you the overall picture of my engine and bay even though it is not complete yet.
The car started out with an inline 6 and was driven for awhile before my brakes went out. I have since replaced it with a monster. The engine bay took time:

Here is a picture of the engine and bay when I baught the car-

It was a rough starting point but it really helped. From here we of coarse started by removing the engine and proceding with clean up. Before really starting I pulled the wiring harness out of the vehicle because I wanted a clean spray through out the car and especailly the bay. After the harness was removed I started scuffing but realized it was going to be a large task. We decided to use aircraft remover to strip the paint and it worked really well.

At this point we cleaned it up a bit more and laid down the primer..

I don't have a picture but we purchased bed liner and laid it down in most of the engine compartment and added texture. The bed liner was black but the paint laid down nice on top of it. We used single stage dupont paint.

The engine that was built for this car was built from the ground up.
Engine- 351 Windsor- Tore down- came from 1970 LTD
Exhaust manifold- Victor Jr
Intake Manifold- Edlebrock Air Gap
Forged Crank and pistons
H-Beam rods
Stroked to 408
Cam-
Carburater- Demon
Roller Lifters
Distributer- Mallory

Painted the block silver the same silver as the bay.

The oil pan has been changed because it was too small for new internals

It is still not finished yet but it is coming along the wires are not where They are gonna be yet and some things still need to be moved around. I will post more as we finish it.

And look,,, the only thing unchanged (or not painted) from the first picture to the last is the starter solenoid,,,,

I knew we could save $10 or $20 if we tried......

Soaring,, Thanks for starting this up again..

I would like to suggest that everyone also include what brand and color of paint they have used for the bay walls and the engine.. and if your bored post the method you used to get it cleaned up and painted...   It seems like a lot but could be very helpful..       I cant wait to see some more pics!

here is the most recent pic of my engine bay... 64 1/2  coupe 289 modified with Edelbrock performer RPM Heads, Cam, Intake manifold, 750 CFM Carb. other modifications include Cool Flex radiator hoses upper and lower, March performance pulley underdrive, power steer pump from a 93 5.0 mated to a TCP power rack and pinion steering. Tcp Coilover conversion, subframe connector assemby,  SSBC power disc brakes. right now the transmisson is out of the car getting built up at JPT transmissons  in Eaton Rapids Michigan. im getting a custom made torque converter with a 2,000 stall and changing out the rear gears from 3-1 aprox to 3.93 gears. here is a link to some info on the tranny rebuild: http://www.442.com/articles/philcolumn11.html

Ok here's mine...  1973 Mach 1 351C Q code with 11.0 compression.  Balanced rotating assembly , block line bored and deck plated , oil holes chamfered on the crank, ARP bolts, stock CJ rods , TRW pop-ups , stock 4 barrel heads with good valves, springs etc ... , Boss 351 camshaft , 1971 issue Ford D1ZX Buddy Bar aluminum intake , Boss 351 aluminum valve covers , original factory dual point distributor with Petronix ignition , factory Motorcraft 4 barrel carb. Ram air system removed from 71 Boss 351 .

Horsepower rating ?  I dunno.
Runs better than it did when new I'm sure.
Engine bay paint by restoration shop. No idea what the paint code is.
Used correct Ford part numbered belts, hoses , cables , solenoid , coil etc...
Restored including replacing factory P=paint , T=trim , F=finish etc ... stickers in correct locations.
