Well this is like a free post for a noob
I noticed your dip stick is behind your alt. Did you use an early model timming cover, or did you drill the hole for the stick into a later model cover. I am curently pulling my hair out trying to figure out if the cover and pump I bought will work with my motor. Does the timming cover matter for the water pump if is a standard rotation or reverse rotation pump . Please help before I go bald. Thanks.

Here are the pictures of engine bay on the 66 coupe
I just finished it up this w-e ; I am not happy about one spot on the front driver side, where the factory sticker used to be - I think with a new sticker it will look much better, but I guess I am picky
Hi, my first post. I've been lurking a bit, but had to bite at this thread.
A few weeks ago I started cleaning up and painting under the hood. Its a stock 2bl 302, sitting in an undercoating covered engine bay. With a cordless drill and a wire wheel I've been able to knock off most of the junk. I then hit it with Eastwood's rust encapsulator. The dress ups: fabricated aluminum valve covers, stainless socket head bolts, clear anodized aluminum air filter, and a vertical wire loom to run the spark plug wires around the front of the valve covers. I've got to hide/remove the alarm siren, neaten up the wires, and finish up the details. Hopefully I've been able to attach pictures of before, now and what I'm going for (photoshop is my friend).
Thanks. It always irked me how nice the car looked outside and in the interior, but having undercoating in the engine bay. Couple issues with the cleanup, tho. 1. I broke the harness terminal for the washer fluid pump. Where do I find one of those? Hopefully its a Ford standard item, but I dont want to scour junkyards for something so small.
2. I need a power source for the radio under the dash. You see that wire running from the heater blower, along the passenger side shock tower to the solenoid? I have to rewire that somewhere else. Any suggestions?
3. I have a chapman lock for the hood and a sire, both of which I'd like to hide or get rid of. Any opinions on security? I used use the car as a daily driver, parking it on the street (really), but now it is valet garaged. Usually, I pull the rotor from the distributer when I leave the car unattended for short times.
