Yep....believe the 2002 Extreme Series V's were 2300 cc volume. The Series IV's are 1600 cc volume. I'm not familiar with the 2600 cc Series V to which Red_Devil is referring. Maybe this is what was on the 03-04 Extremes....but I thought they got the additional 15 - 20 hp out of smaller pulley and tune.

The 02-04 E cars ran a 2.3L twin screw (whipple). The 03-04 reg. sc cars ran a series 4 ....1.6L(whipple). So, Jared says they are coming out with a newer version..larger at 2.6L

Ahhh....so if I want to make Chicane's upgraded intercooler labor cost worth it......I might consider buying the 300 cc larger Series V since I'll have the supercharger off anyways .
That will be my major mod for next year I think, along with a good O/R Pipe.. Anbody here done this mod? I have talked to both Joe at Chicane and Mark at performance Autosport and Marks testing showed 30 hp gains . His website has a great write up on it. If I lived closer to him I would probably bite the bullet and have him do all of my mods.
Does anyone have any suggestions for which brand of air intake to install on my stock? (I think the stocks have the black plastic covering.) More specifically, I'm trying to get some kind of ram air intake kit as opposed to a cold air kit. Check out my picture above to see what I'm talking about.
I contacted JLT about their ram intakes, but they told me those would only fit the 2003-2004 Saleens...
I'm seriously not having any luck finding a good brand to fit my 2000 Saleen S/C... Maybe I should stick with what I've got?
well, im actually a liar (sorry, sometimes i post late at night). The series 5 isnt going to be newer, its still the 2,3 (I dont know why i had a brain fart and said 2.6) but i expect the kit to get some changes probably to become a direct bolt on application and probably some tuning mods to start.

^^^^ That and can somebody throw out some suggestions on which CAI will fit a bone stock 2000 saleen s/c? Im really havimg a hard time finding one. If someone can provide a manufacturer and part number plz.
Hey 00 425 Saleen, I have heard that complaint a lot with cars that are older then 2003. It seems that the JLT CAI is only avaialbe for 2003 and up cars and anything earlier was done by other manufactures. Possible BBK. Wish I could halp you out with that. I don't know why JLT does not make a CAI for the 99-02 cars.. Good luck with your search.

More to come.
Previous 88 GT (sold) 89#709 Saleen Coupe (sold) But not forgotten
1. the 375hp that the person quoted you is at the crank, not at the wheel. So if you're shooting for 500hp, that's roughly 410hp at the wheel because of drivetrain loss.
2. If the main goal is to get to 500hp, then I'd go with the 66mm pulley, SVT focus fuel pump (necessary to feed more fuel to the engine for the smaller pulley), chicane intercooler, 90mm MAF, CAI, and an SCT tune. If you want to get that high for horsepower, then you'll probably have to replace the injectors. I still don't think that all of those mods would get you as high as you want to be....but my guess would be around 375 rear wheel HP after those.
I don't know of too many owners here running that much horsepower off of a Saleen Series 1 or 2 blower....but maybe they'll come out of the woodwork and help me out here.
Feel free to chime in and correct anything I've posted if I missed anything.
Closer to 480 crank for a standard and for an auto it'd be OVER 500.
