maybe this thread would be better off in the TeamRacing section?  although its almost dead in there, at least most respected members are allowed in there.

mm...back on track again.  while not the most exciting race, any thought about a new Altima V6 CVT tranny'ed vs. a 07 Camry v6?

Dude I've tried to get into that section but I guess you have to have a mustang for that section. Or maybe it's the respected thing that's holding me out
PM,  Ride of the Month, all you need is a timslip and that you actually go to the track.
Ok , I'll try again.

Just an FYI...expect a response in a week or so

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''''''re fast.

Quick "?" Do any of you know the lowest ET for a s-197 GT is it 13.3?

I have heard 13.2 but i dont know if it was on DRs. 13.3 is VERY possible.  i ran 13.43 and i wasn't powershifting (i don't know if could with the stock shifter) and it was easy run. so 13.3 is possible.

blue, check the thread and pick a team racing number like i have and he will hook you up with that too. FYI

Speaking of 455 TAs .....what made the 73 super duty so special over other year 455s?

On a sorrier note....I got stuck in an HHR all weekend on a trip to CA Sacramento valley. What a pisser to be stuck in a rental like that with all those twisty sorta mountain roads    Wow, Clear Lake is beautiful!

320 whp neon vs. stockish Cobra [nothing more than exhaust really...aren't many "stock" cobras, I know]

From a roll SRT-4>Cobra
From a Dig on street tires. Cobra>SRT-4
From a dig with race rubber. To close to call.

I think the cobra would lose from a roll. Those damn SRT4's are crazy from a roll.

i personally think even from a roll cobra should get him. after owning cobra, i can tell how hard cobras pull on 3rd and 4th gear. been in 380fwhp srt-4 and it does not pull as hard as my car.

I got a call last night.  My friend knows a guy with a stock C6 that wants to race me for fun.  The kicker is that my buddy and the other guy's buddy want to put $500 down on the race, each protesting that their friend is faster.

The race will be from a dig, up to about 100mph.  Too bad my car is in the shop right now.

Sounds like a Ford...anytime you want to race you have work on the car first.

My Ford buddies are always making fun of each other about how they're always working on their cars.  Swapping motors/swapping trannies/fixing busted motors/bust trannies..., etc...that's why I said that.  My one buddy has this old ass optima battery in his car, so before we can race it he always has to charge the battery to get it started.  Yea, they're mostly broke ass guys, as I'm sure you can tell by their actions.  But whatever they make, they dump it into their cars.  Ford guys are Ford guys.  They're diehard.
