I think Friday August 10th I'm gonna go back to our 1/8 mile track and run.  I'm hoping for atleast 3 or 4 runs, and hope to atleast run an 8.8.  You guys think it can be done with the mods in sig?  The track I'm sure is different, but the times I gun it from a light or stop sign on the streets, I never spin the tires, but at the track it seems like thats what the Stangs and Maros problem is, tires spinning.  So I'm hoping my tires stay glued at the track just like the street, but we'll see.  Any suggestions of what I'll run?

If I was you I would hope for a 9.1 because if I hit a 8.8 I will be happy as hell....With your mods a 8.8 should be no problem....You and the wife need to switch seats to see whos a better driver.  Take the mustang to the full 1/4.

Well in the Celica, where all the power was above 6000rpms, she could land above that whenever she wanted too if she was racing, but me, LOL, I would land around 5500-5700, but on occasions would land above 6000.  She has been driving a manual tranny for over 7 years, I've only been driving one for about 2 years or so, and only a year consistently.  I think I'm a pretty damn good driver in the 3v though, I've gunned it a few times and shifted very well and my Wife even agreed with me on it.  The nearest 1/4 mile track is either Beech Bend in Bowling Green Kentucky, which is about an hour away, and then there is Union Hill in Nashville which is about an hour away.

Back to bench racing

Two guys I know have a Cobalt SS and a Charger Daytona R/T.  I think they are both stock, so if they were to race, what do you think would happen?

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''re fast.

damn, is that it?  When I punch it from 60, I usually wind up around 110 in that amount of time, maybe 115..  Sounded decent though...

I would say yes I probably would too.  I mean c'mon, vettes are vettes.  I do think stangs kinda look nicer though.  On the outside at least, on the inside, meaning the engine, the vette is so much prettier.

I would put my money on the charger (its got a hemi)

I would probly give up my car for a C6 or a C5 Z06, but are you gunna have extra payments?

Are you crazy?  No offence to mustangs, I think most are beautful cars.  But seriously?  Better looking than a vette?

I guess it all depends on how you look at it.  Everyone likes vettes.  not everyone likes stangs, I think they are more unique looking.  I see 25 vettes a day, no bs.  I see half the amount of stangs.  Simple reason, vettes are typically better.  Plus, I don't like the near 1K a month for that kind of car.  I can easily put some more inexpensive mods in my car, and it would be fast then a stock C6.  I put a supercharger in it and it will be just as fast as a ZO6.  In the top end, I can modify my engine to get up in the really high speeds.  Overall, vettes are bad ass, but, I prefer my stang.  Question for the C6 Z06 owners, do vettes really get 25 MPG like Chevy claims they do?  I find it hard to believe, seeing as they have 200 more HP then a stang gt, and a bigger engine, and get better gas mileage

C5-C6 vettes > mustangs

those sleek lines and muscular buldges are a very nice touch to those cars.  wish they had those on mustangs in the last few decades

The c6 and c5 is sexy, but I do not know what GM was thinking when they made the c4 and c3

Test drive the c6 then decide if you should trade......you will trade

What about my H/C/I swapped 94 (off the bottle)  against a 3 cylinder metro....keep in mind my mustang barely idals right now and is only running on 7 cylinders due to my new headers making quick work of my number 3 wire
