Hey guys,

I am buying some 20X10 Foose Rims with 275/35/20 Tires.  Does anyone here have an 05+ stang GT that has tires this wide.  I want to make sure they are not going to stick outside of my car.  I have seen from certain places that 255 wide is the widest you can go on a stang.  Thanks guys!

Hi 07Grabber,

I have seen 10" wide front wheels and 11" wide wheels on the rear of a lowered S197GT but the car had some VERY expensive custom 3-piece racing wheels.  These wheels fit completely INSIDE the wheel wells and I would never have believed it if I had not seen and measured the wheels myself!  In a prodction wheel the widest wheels I have seen that still fit reasonably inside the wheel wells all around are 10" wide wheels.  You have to becareful on lowered cars because the axle will be shifted to the left side and even a 9" wheel and tire combos can stick out past the fender line and that is just stupid looking IMO.  285/40x18 are the right size for an S197GT on 10" wide wheels bu there are MUCH beter performance tires available in the 275/40x18 size so this is what most people are using when looking for a dry summer performance tire.

HTH!
