hi folks. i´m Jenny (30) from Germany!
my mustang is a 99 GT convertible in dark green satin. it has only 23000 miles. i bought this car in nov 2005 from the 1st owner. he shipped the mustang as a new car from Florida to Germany.

in Germany american cars are still somewhat special. that is also because of the "bad image" and the high costs of acquisition and maintenance and particularly at the high prices for gasoline (1.35 € per liter!). nevertheless there are many lovers of these cars here. this weekend our club for us-cars has organized a meet to over 150 cars from the region came.

since 2002 we also own a 65 mustang coupe (6banger with MT). however only my husband drives these..

Jenny

ps: sorry for my english.

thanks.

here in Germany we also have a "mustang forum".
unfortunately we could´nt style our mustangs the way we want because we have very harsh rules... (even red turn lights and lightning front turn lights are not allowed today)

Welcome to the board, convetibles are always fun. Nice pair of stangs you have. The daily driver is interesting. What kind of mileage do you get with that?

thank you. we are proud of them.

the daily is a "smart fortwo". engine is by mercedes-benz and has only 0,6 l cubic capacity with turbo. it´s a very economical car. there are some drivers who drove over 200.000 km with this car, some only 70.000. top speed is only 135 km/h.

Hopefully your Stang looks as exotic as a Porsche does over here.

@eleanor06
no, i have not yet. maybe i should...

@lexy
thank you. i like the green too.

@7stang
yes, a stang is an exotic car on german streets. although they are very popular since the 05+ model.
porsche is not so exotic like mustangs are but also not very often to see (here in east germany). german sport cars (Porsche, BMW, Mercedes) are very expensive here.
before the stang i had an BMW 323ci coupe. it was a nice car but the price was too high for the quality (value for money), in my opinion.

i´m not sure if there´s a mustang club near you but there are some monthly or weekly meetings in some cities near you.
you can also go to the german mustang forum "dr-mustang.com"! there are a lot of mustang owners from all over Germany.

for more infos you can also PM me.

Jenny
