Saturday night kill, but met a few of JD's fellow LS1 guys.
Went to the South Elgin cruise tonight (3 427 Cobra's!!)and when that was done I headed to Lake In The Hills for some more Sonoco. While there I met a guy with an LS1 Camaro, he had ET Streets and some other work done to it. Then his buddy pulled up with another LS1 with Speed Inc on his side window, we all talked for about an hour and a half in the parking lot. Both guys were cool and the first guy was someone I met before when I raced his buddies '06 GTO and walked him so we had a good laugh discussing that one.
At about 12:15am I finally left and headed donw Randall South, all the way to Strats and nothing but Cops, everywhere Cops, crap. I pass Strats which was packed and headed home. A mile down a STi pulls up behind me right up my arse. There are cars to the left and in front of me and did I mention Cops everywhere?
The light turns green and the STi buries himself up my rear bumper which gets my usual reaction, I drive like I have no place to go and wait for a place to test his brakes, he hangs there for a few more seconds and then he passes on the left which was fine because there are Cops everywhere, have I mentioned that yet? [sm=insomnia.gif]
A few miles down after passing by several people who were pulled over we started getting to the area where it's between towns so few Cops and most were busy behind us by now anyway. We're pulling up to a light that has gone red and I'm thinking great, this looks like a good spot to kick this STi in the nuts.
He blows right through the light.....[sm=icon_flaming.gif]....[sm=insomnia.gif]..now I'm thinking what a pussy..great... he's gone... BUT he got stuck at the next light and I caught up to him, the next light goes red and he chooses the left turn lane then the last second pulls into the left lane and I'm in the middle lane the light turns green and he hesitates then nails it (I waited for him to go, I wanted him to know I could have done that way back where he was riding my ass),I knew when he nailed it how it was going to end, I caught him by mid 1st gear and tore right by and as I added a bus plus on him he got off of itand finally I got to do the flashers! He turned left at a side street so maybe he wasn't too much of a pussy since he did finally line up but he's still a dick for riding my tail.

Good kill.
A guy with an STI was talking smack about Grand Nationalsat a local cruise spot one night and my dad (who's in his 60s by the way) asked him to go outside and line 'em up. They did and my dad smacked him down but good. He said that afterwards the guy lightened up and was cool.
BTW my dad had some work done to the GN; I know that stock for stock the Subie would've won.
Where in Illinois is this?

Nice kill, I had an STI coming up fast behind me, I had just gotten off work, I knew it would have been one of those udder decimation races. He blows past me and his blow off valve releases, im just like F that heh. I have CAI/Tune about it

This was going West out of Carol Stream, I love GN's don't see them too much anymore which makes you appreciate them more when you do.
