question why didnt you just get a V8? if you were going to put this much money into a car why not go with something with a lot more potential than a sixer? no offense this is awesome and everything but you could have hit tens easy with a V8.
to make a 10 second v8 that is stable enough to be a DD i think will cost around the same as making a 10 sec v6. Maybe a little more for the v6 but not much. Probably a 2k-3k difference id say.
To make them reliable, both platforms require the same mods really for the most part... power adder, suspension, tires, drive shaft, loop, safety equipment, forged internals, transmission build up, etc. Hind sight 20/20, I could have achieved it without the build up on my heads and cams. However, they do offer some more scalability on the top end and once the transmission issue is fixed, we are sure 10.60's are doable all day long. Adding it up, I probably spent 1.5K more (juice and 8.8 rearend with build up), but the V8 has more potential to dip into the single digits. I think mid 10's will be where the car settles in at. I really need to focus on the brackets and winning some races. Plus I want to see if I can hit 10's on boost alone, which is possible but requires a lot of work and dial in at the track.
If you want the optimal approach, look at Buckmans car. He's done more with less mods, and his engine build up does not include heads and cams, yet he will still be able to run the brakets at flat 11's for winning some cash, yet turn up the nozzle for what ever 10 second pass he desires. With his boost controller, he can dial the car in where ever he needs it for winning races as well. If I were a new V6 owner, I would model my build up after his. Its a very cost effective, yet very effective performance wise.

Todd very impressive car but the above right up is very good. There are some of us who know what the car is capable of and it is a nice feeling knowing you can do sooooo much with this V6 block. yes the V8 is capable of more and no one is disputing that but its nice that the V6 is so close. And man is there some serious pontential.
Thanks Ron. I'm sure the car can be pushed into the 9's. But I'm not sure if I will be the one to do that. I love the daily driver aspect of my car. Event putting a cage in it is a hard step for me. Luckily Mike@PH is a master with building the cage, and designed to a. Be hard to see from the street and b. removable rear bar, and side bars so its non hindering as a dd.
