question why didnt you just get a V8? if you were going to put this much money into a car why not go with something with a lot more potential than a sixer? no offense this is awesome and everything but you could have hit tens easy with a V8.

This is why I stuck with the sixer. It's easier to hit 10's on the V8 no doubt.......
....guess you have to see the crowd around Navbtcret, Buckmans, Scrming and my car at Norwalk. Also, hitting 10's is not as easy as you think in a street car, be it V8 or V6. Go look for S197 V8s that are in the 10's, I have actually colaborated with a fair number of them on ohter boards, you will find there are a lot less than you think. And shop cars don't count. LOL.

Sigh. How many GT's out there do you see running 10's? and easy 10's at that? I will give you some time to look around and count, then get back to me. Why? Because that is what he wanted. Simple as that.

Right on Lance. You know the path to building a 10 second V6 as well, and the road less traveled no less. Can't wait to hit the track with you again man.
Cheers.

The reward is greater for the harder task. Sure would it have been easier to go buy a GT, mod it but hell how much fun is it to be able to run a sixxer running 10's in the 1/4, especially the look on said v8 guys face when you light him up?

The kills at the track I enjoy most are the late model GTO's and Vettes. I've killed a ton of vettes at the local 1/8 and 1/4 track, and they wont even talk to me even despite me giving them props and offering up suggestions on thier launches.
I don't gun for other mustangs, they are my brothers. Except for one, a long time ago said 11's wouldn't be possible. But that was more a friendly debate than anything else.

That's the sad thing about today's car enthusiasts, it seems its all about the "who has the bigger engine, or who paid more." And the respect is bar none when cars that people think shouldnt preform, go out and udderly destroy the competition. I wish it would become just about the love for cars, and just the love to go out and drive.
Well, your 12.0x run would have been a race back at Norwalk at the beginning of the season. Not sure if I would have edged you out back then. But no mater who won, it would have been a great time.

to make a 10 second v8 that is stable enough to be a DD i think will cost around the same as making a 10 sec v6. Maybe a little more for the v6 but not much. Probably a 2k-3k difference id say.
