I went form a $300 VW to a $5,000 Mustang. Thats around 16 times the value. From a $5,000 car thats about $80,000.
Go for it 
that math isn't quite off... for division... subtraction might work better for this situation.. $5000 - $300 = $4700. $80,000 - $5000 = $75,000 money isn't like cheerios and easy to come by (75,000 is still alot of cheerios tho.. lol)

damn, were you at fault then I guess? thats the main thing that holds me back from dumping money into my car, is that if I wreck it, all that time and money is now gone.
