what is the big ****ing deal with this stupid mother****ing electronic throttle control. its absolute bull****. for some reason, after i reloaded my tune again, my idle is all screwy, and my throttle response is very inconsistent. extremely inconsistent. sometimes it kicks, sometimes it sputters, sometimes it dies on the low end, sometimes the ramp rate makes up for it, its a ****ing miserable mess. now the idle is ****ed up, it idles at 650, then 30 seconds later goes to 1000, then back to 900, then when i come to a stop the whole cycle starts again. i checked under the hood, everything's fine.


i need a solution to make this throttle control work. i want it to perform like a real throttle. and i want it to be ****ing consistent. what is the goddamn problem here? why is it so hard?

its like the car has moods. sometimes it'll run fine, sometimes it won't.

its such a goddamn mess. why can't they just get it right? im so sick of pressing the gas and wondering how it will respond while i wait for it to do something. its like playing the goddamn lottery, i never know how its gonna act when i start it up.

I've been having some problem with my dads car. Switch it from the 89 to 91 tune and haven't had a problem. He was getting a lag when punching it from a roll. Not sure if it's the same problem though as you're having.

What is your idle set at? It shouldn't be set below 750rpms, that's the stock idle. Going lower than that could make the car think it's going to die and it will try to adjust. Just reflashing your tune may cause some erratic idle until the computer relearns the engine.

Also make sure you don't have a vacuum leak, that could cause an erratic idle.
