I'm not sure what to do to my antenna, I'm sure I want to change it though.. Vote to tell me what you think I should do. My car is a 2000 silver mustang v6. I like how those rubber black antennas look but I have never seen them on a stang before so I'm not sure

I say just cut your antenna already on your car, will save you alittle bit of money. There is a how to somewhere on line. Or just buy a shorty antenna they are only like $10.00. but your choice. Your signal won't be as good as it is now but its not to bad with the shorty. I lose my signal if there are alot of trees surrounding me, but i don't lose it often.

I vote home made shorty. I cut mine to match the top of the roof and looks way better than stock. Didn't notice a difference in radio recption.

Plus it's free!

Yea, I'm thinking I'll just go with home made shorty. What kinda paint and glue did you use?

The home made shorty will be your cheapest option if you have the right stuff. I just used a saw to cut it to the size I wanted then used my table grinder and rounded the tip off b/c the ball came off at the car wash (looks pretty cool imo) and painted it with some black spray paint that I had lying around...Total cost $0.00. Those short rubber antennas look kinda goofy on mustangs.

I used regular black spray paint to repaint the tip. Any glue/superglue will work fine, i haven't gotten arround to putting the ball back on.

Until it looks good. You don't even need to lay it down on anything, you could just hold it in the air(but not close to your car of course!) If it dosn't look good to you, then add another coat.
