What are the difference between these two, and is there any reason they couldn't interchange? I have a buddy that ha a 01 cobra with a terminator conversion, and he's wanting some better half shafts that will tolerate some more abuse. I heard the ones from the 03-04 were forged...is this true?

the 2 have different spline count on the diff. side 28 /31, i got a whole 03 IRSset up im fixing to sell.

THe 01's already have 31 spline halfshafts the 99's and 28 spline.

i knew that the 99 had the 28s cause i had one. i was unware that the 01s had the 31 s count thats strange they didnt have the power the 03/04s got

Yeah in 2000 they did a couple re-signs during the non build year.
