ant0045 -> MAC cat-back not fitting (7/17/2007 7:29:32 AM)

i have a 95 5.0 and ordered a MAC catback. i can not get it to go over the rear axle.  It is the new design so it is one piece not two from the muffler to the tail pipe.  Any tips or suggestions. Waiting for mac to call me back. Tried calling at 10:30 today and no ones picking up. want to get the d*mn exhaust on the car. Tried twice already looks like im guna have to drop the rear.

That or you can cut the pipe just behind the muffler and have a muffler shop weld it up. That would be the easiest way. The kits should be 2 pc. it would be easier to put in.

like i said i called mac and told them the same thing they told me this was the new style. dont want to have to have it welded again but looks like i might.

well I understand about not wanting t cut and weld. As you said before if you can get the back of the car up high enough to drop the diff. it would be more work but it would keep it in 1 piece. Good luck. I'm not sure on the 95's but if you drop the rear check the abs sensors on the axle's you might have to disconnect them if they are there. Not sure if they are the same as my 97
