Default washing vinyl stripes

i recently got some racing stripes on my car.....and they are not painted on, they are just vinyl. what is the best way to wash them? i was thinking maybe just hand washing them and not using the brush. would they peel off easily?

Well, I am not a pro by far, but I do baby my ride... I have vinyl stripes too - make sure you use a car wash (not dish soap) and I don't use a brush... if you just put them on wait a day or so to wash them... if they have been on, I use a fluffy wash mitt to clean the car... and I just wash with the lines of the stripes, not being rough...

[edit] They won't peel off - just go gently on them...

You should wait a week before washing and they say a month before waxing, but I waxed mine after 4 days right after I washed it. I bought my stripes from baltimorestreetmods.com and I don't gently wash then or anything special. I use Meguiars cleaner wax for tuff stains and wax them just like part of the car. Never use a high pressure car wash. Always wash by hand.

i wash my car probably every two days, or everyday if its nice out. but i just picked up the ICE detailing spray. its 10 bucks for the bottle but holy crap is it worth it! its safe for vinyl too. if u have matte black vinyl like i do it picks up alot of dust but with this stuff on it, it doesnt collect as much dust. best 10 bucks spent.

DO you use an orbital waxer on the stripes too? Or do you hand wax them.
