Alright guys, time to have some fun, $2200 to spend!
Well, it seems I am most likely not going to sell my car unless I can find a buyer before the end of July.
I fear that I will sell it in early August and be with out a car for college which would be bad (at least for me).
So it looks like the $2200 I saved will be going into the six.
I'm thinking a big ass cam, with the 1.73 roller rockers and I'm going to add some LT's and get some hi-flo cats (the buzzing at hi rpms is getting to me).
If I don't go that route, I'm going with a Roush bumper and cobra r cowl hood and possibly a new spoiler.
I really want the cam though, so I need some help with it.
I want something with a big idle, but I would rather get one more for performance.
Also do I need a new set of springs, gaskets, pushrod/shim kit, lifters... or anything like that?
I've check rpm-mustangs and ssm and now I am just looking for the best route.
Suggestions welcome.

Well, the more aggressive the cam, the more lopey the idle. But, the more aggressive the cam, the more low end torque you lose. It's a double edged sword.
Best bet is to call SSM, RPM Mustangs, etc... and tell them your plans and what you want out of the car/cam, and they'll recomend a cam or possible custom grind for you.

I have never heard of a non-brand name car....would that be like a Fred's Fun Wagon?

id talk w/ ssm. ive been hearing some not so great things about rmp lately. i think he is having trouble keeping up with everyone and its causing everthing to fall way way behind. compcams makes a few differnt cams for the v6 too i think. and delkperformance is another good one.

supersixmotorsports.com, call tom and he will actually answer your questions and make sure you get everything you need to put down some serious N/A power

^ There will be plenty of time for that during school. [8D]
I just want something with a little more power now,a good tune with the cam should put me just around ~220rwhp according to me.
But I am going to talk to them about it and see what they say.

The best question for you is, how much is your intake going to flow. Remember, you have to have balance and support for the cam via the intake and heads. It sounds like you have it down with the heads, but what about the intake. You just can't drop in the largest cam on the market and expect everything to work fine. Also, how drivable do you want the car, the more aggressive the cam, the more "fun" and you know what I mean, the car becomes to drive, and the more gas it will consume. A decent cam sounds like one with a lift between .500/.500 to .512/.512. That will be more than aggressive enough to give you a mean ideal and great street performance, but not so overly agressive that you can't afford to drive the car.

Well about how much will all that cost H/C/I...for install. I imagine lets say $800 for the cam, rockers, and springs, then $350 for the lt's and cats...so $1150 + ~ like a grand for the install = ~$2200.
btw where can I find some hi-flow cats? haven't seen any around.
