Default 1/4 mile times

i raced my stock 93 gt 5spd in the summer and 14.8 was my best time on bald tires. right now all i have is flowmaster 2.5in force 2 cat-back exaust and new 17' rims and new tires. after i get 373 gears, cold air intake, pro 50 short shifter and 75mm throttle body, what do u think i will run. im hoping high 13s but im thinkin prolly low 14s.

I'd say low 14's.....maybe...maybe you might hit 14 flat or barely break the 13's if you get a sticky set of tires.

75mm t/b is too big without head or cam work...it would kill ur low-end. On a stock engine, a 65mm would be good. But if u plan to do more extensive work, thats the time for a 70-75mm t/b. And when u do t/b's u should get the larger maf with it. Get the maf 5-15mm bigger than the t/b. I would do CAI, gears, and tranny work first. I all depends on how deep u want to invest in the car.

if the rims are chrome, they will probably slow you down. Tires make a big diffrence

I think with slicks youll mabye break 13's, high 13's if your a good driver and can launch good.

lower in the 14's but don't think 13's are possible without some rear suspension work and slicks.

13's are easily seen without suspension work and slicks, maybe a really good run you'll hit 14.3 or so... Let us know what you run!

that 75mm t/b is prolly screwing up ur a/f ratio like crazy...the biggest helper for u will b ur gears and get a good pair of d/r's...other then that I"m guessing low 14's...I'd loose that t/b if I were u tho....2 big

It is a common mistake to go too big on the air components IE MAF and T/B... A 75 MM T/B is good if you have aftermarket heads, cam, and maybe even a blower, but with mild mods, all you are doing is killing your mileage. For a bolt on car, a 65-70MM t/b is enough to get the job done for optimum HP... C&L makes a good 73MM MAF which would work well with both of these applications.

He's not going to hit 13's with the setup he has now. I don't think he has enough HP yet....and he'll never hit 13's with bald tires.
