It was raining tonight and I was coming home from a friends house
I turned left and spun the tires and got it sideways I over corrected and ran up onto a curb and then swerved left again off of the curb and into another one
I have 17 inch black bullitt rims from ford racing
They are my pride and joy
I love them more than the car itself
The wheels on the right side are destroyed, theres about ½ an inch of rubber hanging off the tires and it hit the bead so now it leaks air
The left front wheel has some minor road rash but its still usable
The left rear is fine
Ill have to get the front end alligned of course and while im at it im gonna have them check and see if I did any damage to any of the suspension (pray to go nothing bent!)
Im going to mustangs unlimited this Monday to go buy 2 new wheels and tires and then once I save up enough money im gonna buy another to replace the front left so that I can use it as a spare (I hate road rash)
Ill post some pics tommorow after church
I feel too sick with myself to take any tonight

Sorry to hear about that... Rain seems to hate Mustangs, because thats how my little "run-in" happened was in a turn I always drive through but this time in the rain. Just be glad no one was on that curb and no one got injured, especially you.

i went by the intersection i did this at and i left some marks
you can see the tread marks from the tires spinning and then you can see where i got sideways and tried to correct myself and then you can see the sidewalk were i bottomed out and ripped up some grass and then swerved off and hit another curb
ill try to get some pics of that later on today

That happened to me when i had my mustang, i was trying to pull out into a crowded intersection and i had a break so i took it my rear end was bald as hell and it slid out a lil bit putting me dangerously close to a car pulling into the turn lane so i jerked the wheel to the right and slammed on the brake and headed right down towards a ditch, but i pulled the E brake before i went down far enough to cause damage to my car. When i hit the little divider it took a HUGE chunk outta my rim... but i still sold it for 4000 lol.

A similar thing happened to me, literally, A WEEK after I bought my new saleens.
I was going home and some f*cktard in front of me flipped a water main valve cover(25lbs) into my front right wheel which then went on to hit the rear wheel.
It shredded both tires and destroyed the wheels.
I had to then drop $700 on new wheels and tires for that side...it was probably on of the saddest days owning 'er.

Yeah like small manhole covers, the company putting them into the ground was putting them in wrong and the seals were breaking making them come up, which caused the cars to hit them.
I am STILL in the process of sueing them after 1 year. Damn city government.
