Well since your porting the heads, you might as well get bigger slant valves and a cam. Your looking at around $1500.00 by the time you get everything, ie: bolts, gaskets yada yada.

Boozer's on target with the $$. This website KILLER STUFF has a wealth of options available to you, Mike, and they have some packages that include P&P heads and upper and lower intake, cam, gaskets, etc. for less than $2grand.

IF you are talking about P&P'ing the heads and upper and lower and nothing else, the machine work shouldn't cast you more than $3-500 from a reputable shop. I have talked to Sperry Racing Engines here in Cedar Rapids and they would do a full job on my head for around $200. I did not ask them about the intake, though.

Definitely port the upper and lower intake, other wise your starving your ported heads for air. Do the whole top end at once including cam and rolling rockers and you can be looking at up to a 90hp increase N/A. WOOT!
