Soaring -> Idle control solenoid (7/12/2007 11:53:26 AM)
There is a guy downstairs from here that wants info on an air conditioner idle control solenoid or valve. I know the mid 70's had those. If any of you guys have information for him, please help.

What kinda info? Just a solenoid that's activated with the AC clutch, and screws into a bracket on the carb to adjust the 'ON' idle speed.

Yes. Whatever it is called. It tells the carburetor that the air con compressor just kicked in so you should idle up a bit. Idle sensor? Idle control valve? Idle solenoid?

shelty from 5.0 section just yanked a 3.8 throttle body motor from his stang for a 5.0 swap, if he has that selenoid maybe you can get it for your buddy for free or next to free?
