No problems here. Supports are still stiff and the latch is like new and no rattles, even after 14 years. Doesnt get opened very often.

In fact its probably the only thing on my baby that still works like its supposed to and DOESNT rattle.

im using the tape method around the striker, works ok, but the hatch still moves around a lot and rattles

I'll have to try the duct tape thing. The rubber pin cover fell off and now both grips will not engage on the hatch. Can a new pin bushing be purchased? I have the same problem with the door pins as well.

I replaced my striker a few months after having the stupid hatch problems. Everything has been fine ever since. Pretty cheap fix for the problems it solves I picked mine up from 50resto

The new striker and bushing are $30... I would have thought it would be cheaper than that, I'm going to have to break down and try out a new striker one of these days. I wish there was some way just to replace the bushing, anyone know of a way? Replacing just the bushing would surely be cheaper...
