I'm a stick guy, but only because I'm a street hooligan, and like to do burnouts, get sideways, harass and piss off the general public...and stick is better for "doing tricks."  Now if I were more of a racer I'd have gotten an auto and some drag radials so I could be consistent as hell (just like my old z28...man my grandma could've run a mid 13 in that car...)
...ideally I want (at least) one of each...lol...

Sticks may be 'fun', but only at certain times.

Had I known that autos could be so heavily changed with the addition of a tune I would've gone with an automatic... They aren't really even slower once they have a tune.

Manual!  Driving an automatic after driving my Mustang for a while just seems so boring.

Automatic is boring, its for trucks.
I like being 100% in control of where my RPMS are, and not having a computer decide when to shift.

if you have an auto try this- shift it manually! Roll down your windows, because when you upshift you'll be able to shift at higher rpms. This creates that great sound! It's like night and day. It's really fun being able to cruise along on the street in 2nd but with the high torque just flooring it gives great pickup and great sound!

Automatic here......When I bought my car, manual cars were real hard to find, and none on the lot at the time.  I had driven the GT-H before I bought my car and decided it wasn't too bad to have an auto...now I'm itchin' for a manual!!!!!!!

Auto here - I prefer stick but I'm so used to changing gear with the other hand that I opened the door rather than changing gear whilst on a test drive.

I miss having manual transmission but it was difficult enough to get into the, for me, wrong side of the car & drive on the wrong side of the road without having to worry about whether I would actually change gear or open my door into traffic.

Manual here.  Admittedly, there are days that I wish I had the auto, just for simplicity, but the manual is just too much fun the other times...even though I did kill it this morning on my way into work (DOH!).  Feeling a little under the weather today, but decided to come in to work anyway, and just wasn't with it when the light turned green.

Nothing to do with being a guy or girl.

Mustangs were made to manual shift!
