Um, why are you worried about the lug nuts?  Buy the kind that hold them on   Saleen provided a locking set, just not sure what kind.

And FYI, Saleen first produced cars in 1984 (only 3) so there were no 82 or 83 Saleens

Are you cloning your '85 GT there?  If so, please do it in good taste and whatever you do - don't tell people its authentic and worse - don't try to get Saleen value out of when you decide to sell   And be careful - you are treading on thin ice with an '85 Saleen owners.  There were not a lot built back then and the Fox Saleen guys have a registry and know damn near all there is to know about all of them

yea i just picked these up the other day, so i have no idea what lugs they take...i picked up some 1/2" acorn types from the advance auto so i hope those will work...okay my bad about the dates there, i was only posting what the guy i bought em from had said, so now i know they were only from 84 and up so thanks for the input...as for cloning the 85, im not too sure...its a big project, and i would like the saleen wing to put on it, but as far as cloning goes probably not, just a few things here and there to make it how i like it, i certainly do not intend to insult anyone...but what is this registry of the fox saleens? do you have a website for them that i could check out? and i would never try and tell people my car was an original saleen, i hate selling false truths

Very well man, very well   Enjoy the project and good luck!  As for the registry, it is still being built among a small group of the '85 Saleen owners - its not public yet.

As for the lugs, I THINK Saleen used the stock Ford lugs and replaced one on each wheel with a locker - but I've been know to be wrong on occasion

I had an 89 and all I did was put on a set of Mcguard wheel locks. The wheel bolts were factory Ford I believe.

Good luck with the build. That Saleen wing probably kept Saleen in business for a few of those lean years, there were a boatload sold...

Those look like they are the ARE or Enkei wheel used on the '86 Saleens, If original Saleen would be 16". Takes a standard 1/2 acorn lug nut, forget the locks....if you loose that thing you gotta tear up your wheels to get it off.

wheel locks = trouble

Go with Gorilla lugs = awesome!

I think you need 1/2" x 20 and a set of 16 but this is the brand I use. The entire set has a unique pattern and looks like a normal lug from the outside. They DO NOT have the little "race track" groove on the end. What is also nice is the "key" socket is very thin wall so work excellent on '99-'04 Saleen wheels with the small diameter lug well.

awe........ Jazzer is just a big lug
