Default Raced a GTO

Heres what happened.....We raced twice. First time,we startedat 30mph. He jumped about a half a fender, then I missed 3rd[:@]then he was like 3 lengths ahead. He slowed down and we started at 30 again. This time I had the better start and was about half a fender ahead, shifted to 3rd he pulled even with me, by the top of third we were still even then when I hit 4th I pulled on him slowly till I was about half a fender in front them we shut down. I thought I would get my a$$ handed to me but I got a surprise. Only mods I know for a fact he had was exhaust and it had to be offroad cause that thing was nasty loud and sounding mean as f**k. Dont know the year, but it didnt have the scoops on the hood. He coulda had more mods but we didnt get a chance to talk. We rolled windows down and gave thumbs up and I turned to head to the house. Man that makes me feel good!!! Flame if you will, but I know what happened

Im not sure, but I would assume ls1 since it was so close and I think the ls1 have no scoops like stated above.

If you raced an LS1 car from a roll That would explain being dead even. The LS2 would probably pull you slightly from a roll. From a dig it's a drivers race because of the difficulty people have launching them.

Must be the fastest GTO around. Every other member on this forum, with a stock s197, puts multiple car lengths on the Goats. From a roll, stop, and even in reverse.

Yep and I put ten lengths on one by second gear, 400HP duds!

Actually you did pretty good man those cars are beasts from a roll. I raced the LS2 from a 30mph roll and even with my mods he managed to keep up until third and fourth gear, he was automatic too. Good kill!!
