just cant decide. new car purchase coming up soon, I LOVE COBRAS, can anyone from the svt side set me straight? I know the mach 1s have imporved the 4v for the 2003 but is their anything else major to consider?

The Mach has a tad bit more power and responds a little better to mods, but overall there pretty much similar.
I suggest the Mach 1 because they are newer, but they are also more expensive.

I think the Mach's are a tad faster but the Cobra looks better IMO.

I would go with a Mach. Reason for this is, that it is a newer car, less miles, and you can probably find one with no mods.

The Mach has a more aggresive gears giving it a bit more punch of the line. But the Cobra is tuned to make more power on the top end. You can get the best of both worlds by changing the Stock gears in a Cobra. The Mach dose cost much more than a well maintained 01 Cobra with low miles. It really depends on what you are trying to do. If you are into Drag racing then get the Mach the Solid Rear axle is best suited for that. If you want a more responsive ride and you plan on doing more that going str8 really fast then get the Cobra. Also there is no convertible Mach if you were looking for a Vert. IMO the Cobra is more Exclusive, although the Mach is hard to come by these days as well. But they are not SVT. Could be biased because I own a 01 Cobra Vert. All you can say the hell with it and get an 03/04 Terminatior. Planning on doing that myself.

mach 1 was under rated
mach 1 has a solid rear axle
cobra has indpendent rear suspension
mach has higher compression
and higher gears (barerly)
the mach 1's cam is more aggresive for midrange torque.
Mach 1 has better flowing heads
