So what are we missing here. Your running ****tyer tires and no N20, so your making what 290 to the wheels at the max? I dont see LTs on your setup page so I wouldn't even count on that.
I honestly dont see how you could be in the 12s without Nitrous since you are running regular street raidals (and pepboys at that). Even with drag radials this guy should be showing you his ass all the way down the track.
lookin at your website - noticed something at the end in the 'misc' section... do you drive this car on the street?? cuz deleting airbags is stuupid.
and even if you dont drive it on the street - accidents can happen at tracks too...

Yeah, when that one thread come up about the guys insurance taking pics of him at the track and ending his insurance, I called Progressive and they said that they frown upon any type of racing and that if caught they probably wont end that particular persons policy... BUT they will give you a stern warning to quit or else. I couldnt imagine what they would say if in fact they found out about airbag deletion.

ok...I don't know what's so hard to believe...maybe...I'll make a video where it shows me taking the bottle out of the car and then running down the track...no gaps in the video...maybe then you'll believe that the car runs like that off the bottle....
Why is it so hard to believe that the car runs like that...I've already said the car isn't comfortable to drive on the street....full drag suspension...the car wieghs less than 3000 pounds....skinnies don't like corners or the rain...and the noise and the heat from not having any soud deadener or insulation in the car....
and about the car not running 12.90s....that's a joke...I was running 12.90's 6 months and $2,000 ago...
you know..I really thought yall had some smart people here...evidently the majority of the people in my threads have been people talking ****....
how about this...put some money in your car...do some **** to it...and then tell me I'm slow...until then...shut your cockhole....
thanks...

i believe you on the whole no bottle thing, its not hard to comprehend. ive talked to a few realy good shops and with the right stuff you can make a very fast car for reasonably cheap and no extreme ****. this all came from the guy that built my gf's uncles 8 second iroc camaro. it just takes the right stuff and a good driver. congrats on having a fast as **** car man!

I think y'all are being a little hard on shibby. Not much but just a little. I'm sure someone might even now call BS on his dyno sheet (there's ALWAYS haters) and if he posted a timeslip, someone would call that, too. And I don't blame him. He may want to surprise some people. I remember a time when EVERYBODY lied about their mods. It was like telling someone how big your wang REALLY is, or how many girls you've REALLY laid.
I am thinking seriously about buying a blown 99GT that makes 361 RWHP and 371 RWTQ and if somebody on the street has the gnads to ask me what I have and wants to run, I swear I'll say, "N/A V6 with a catback, CAI and headers. Would you and your Lingenfelter spot me 20 lengths when we run for 5 bills?" That's just gamesmanship talking right there. And shibby's obviously doing a little of it. And I would prolly still get schooled by the Lingenfelter! Those things are evil, wicked, mean and nasty.........
But shibby, if you're going to boast like that, you gotta be ready for some high hard ones on the 0-2 count...these cats up here like FACTS and NUMBERS!! Good job posting the dyno sheet. And BTW, the vid is AWESOME!!! You are a holeshotting son-of-a-gun!! If you don't post the slip, at least regale us with your R/T. That's off the meatrack, yo!!!
the guy's playing coy!! Anybody ever heard of a sleeper? I LOVE the V6 badging. That says it all. But shibby, you gotta be ready to bring it if you're going to post. You seem like a serious racer, and there are few of those here. Y'all will find each other and get it on, I'm sure. JD's a player, MD, 2000si has some shizz. I hope some of y'all are close to each other! I'd have to run off and hide with my current stuff.

Generally speaking, every hundred pounds you shave is worth 1/10th in e.t and 2-4 mph in traps. Now, those are VERY general, because a lot of e.t and trap realtions are tied to gearing and such and there is a point of diminishing returns where shaving more weight won't give you equal incremental gain: the first hundred makes you quicker than the last hundred. But that is a very good general guide.
So you knock off 15 here, 30 there, 100 there, it starts adding up. Before you know it, you've lopped off 500-600 lbs, and you're half-a-second quicker and 8-10 mph faster without any motor work.
I would suck your dick to see a NA 2v put out 400 to the wheels...aint gonna happen...
UHHHH, start suckin boy. I have 2 valves per cylinder and I'm over 400rwhp n/a. But I do have an LT1, if that counts. My LS1 will be well over that very soon, too. SO, do I get 2 jobs from you. LOL HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
As for your times, HP/Tq #'s etc, sorry but I've been around race cars for too long and these Mustang guys aren't stupid. You say you run for Big $$. try running with the big boys and you'll be broke AND we'll take your car home. The real big $$ runners trailer their cars in to the street races. Oh, and $20 is not big money.
There are so many quotes I could put in here. First off, reduce weight all you want, What you fight is resistance, gravity / wind. You will still be fighting to run those kind of times. I call B/S!!! without being SERIOUSLY boosted

Man, don't say stuff like that! That is so incendiary. He did ask for it, I guess, but that doesn't mean you need to come back with something like that. Now, post a dyno sheet or STFU, because you can't start asking people to suck it just because you say so. Gosh, the youngsters get in here and start flaming like this and everything goes to hell in a handbasket. You know how I know that you're between 20-23? Because a grown man wouldn't post like that. And if I'm wrong and you're in your mid-30's like me, shame on you! You should be old enough to know better. Sheesh!!
When folks start boasting about what they know and how long they've been around and how wise they are to the Knowledge, it's amazing how quickly that closes the mind right up when they think they've seen it all.
Gravity is a straight down force on a vehicle, perpendicular to the theoretical vector of travel. You combat it only by reducing weight, because the friction on points of downforce is nominal. Now, if you were trying to move a sled...... And when you say you're battling wind and resistance separately, what resistance are you talking about at that point, or did you mean wind resistance? Just wanting to clarify, because resistance to the air (not wind) is called drag. The coefficient of drag for a 99-04 Mustang is about 0.36. And I don't expect you to know the scale because it really doesn't have units to speak of, it's just a measurement, just know that is very low and the 'wind profile' of that body style of Mustang is very small. Which means it "cuts" through the air at 100 mph very efficiently, relatively speaking.
Since you've been around race cars too long, you should know that torque, gearing, traction and a lack of weight get you outta the hole. If you have a lot of the right ones and lesser amounts of the wrong ones, it makes for pretty nice looking 60's. And if you have a small coefficient of drag and some, not necessarily a ton, of top side HP, you're slaying the traps as well. Relatively speaking.
A quarter mile drag race is a 1320' long extremely complex equation of fluid mechanics. Anything's possible. Weight and coefficient of drag are such understated parts of that equation to us laymen. Everybody wants gobs and gobs of HP because it's like good deodorant - it covers up a lot of things that stink. It's simple: it's easier to launch a 2,500 lb car than it is to launch a 3,500 lb car. And a lighter car with a coefficient of drag of 0.36 versus one with a coefficient of drag of 0.56 is going to go faster over the last 660 and 330, all other things being equal. The more attention you pay to those things, the less important HP becomes. None of us have seen it all and none of us have been around too long to know better.
NICE car by the way!!

Like Everybody has said It sounds like a Set-Up and they still look like 1/8 Mile Runs, and I still say STREET TIRES don't Hook that Good. You Look Like your Getting Good Launchs,STREET TIRES don't Launch Like That.
