Default Tail light tint

Hey everyone. So me being extremely broke right now, i am doing some cheap/no cost modssuch asmoving my spoiler back and tinting my tail lights/headlights/side markers. My question is what percentage should i go with? Instead of buying them through a site, i am just going to purchase the tint and cut it myself. I am just not too sure how much will be too dark. I am leaning towards 35%, anyone have any ideas??

It would be best to just buy the tail light tint kit. It would be much easier. IMO

yes buying the kit would be much easier and there is no risk of messing up and the kit is very inexpensive

i was going to buy the tint myself and cut it to specs as well but you have to take into account that its tint for the insdie of your car..and you are using it for the outisde of ur vehicle..tough choice..its very inexpensive. do it and let me know. i've been wanting to do it for a while

From what i have seen, the kit is around 65 bucks. The tint is only like 15, and if it starts to fail i can just peel it off. I have seen it done on a few stangs and it looks great. In either case i will post pics once i am done. I will probably go with the 35% for right now.

Well if you are going to buy the tint, make sure it is TAILLIGHT tint and not WINDOW tint, it will not work.
Also measure twice cut once lol, you don't want to end up spending $60 because you kept messing up.
