I'm personally not a fan of the color. I mean, don't feel bad, it's not your fault as you didn't paint the car that color, but Ford made some pretty bad color choices with some Mustang models across the years.

I've seen 1 stang that color with 18" Chrome Torque Thrust staggered, and it was beautiful. The color on the New Edges that is kind of a lighter blue looks really pretty when completed by the right add-ons.

The blue on the Mach 1s looks great, but Fire Red is one of the best colors for a Mustang, other than yellow, IMO.

They made that color on the fox bodies right?  It looked good on them...But with a black top I can imagine the car would look much better, try to get someone to photoshop it for you.

paint it black.  I love black cars.

Anway, I don't think its that bad.  put a spoiler on it, some dark tint, smoked headlights, lowering springs, and it would look pretty mean.  A black top would be nifty too, and then you wouln't have to repaint it, it would be about the same, and you'd have a more custom look.  I'd also get the 98 taillights, the vert ones, but thats just me.  i've never been a fan of the horizontal ones.

my friend said he could hear my skin sizzle when it hit the car

I live in tx witha black car, and its really not that bad.  The interior makes the most difference.  Depending on what color your interior is, like mine is grey cloth, so nothing in my interior gets hot except for the dash, but I just roll the windows down and get driving ASAP and after a minute all the heat is gone.  Plus black just looks sexy on a mustang.

Im not understanding.... You want to paint it another color??? Yet you cant afford a black top? A decent paint job should cost you more then $600! So I would think the top would be cheaper! I like the color just not the white top... Put a black top on and it will make the world of difference.... I think either way you decide to go the white top has to go!

psh, more than 600...

a decent paint job is gonna run you well over a grand.  If I was going to repaint my car, I'd make sure it was done well, and a nice one costs you about 2 g's.  With 2 g's, you could do so much to that car that the blue would be awesome.

theres a guy at my church who paints cars for a living and he said hed only charge for the cost of the paint

you cant see it on the pics but theres all sorts of dents and dings and on the passenger side somebody keyed it and one the drivers side the clear coat is chipping off
and dont even ask about the front bumper, its been beaten to hell
