Default X Pipe's with axleback mufflers

Hey Guys,

This is maybe a dumb question but what are the benefits of an x pipe exhaust piece, particularly when used with axleback mufflers? I am looking to install FRPP Borla Stingers and I am wondering if I should pick up x pipes also? Would there be a benefit to this, or any drawbacks, worth the extra $125?

Thanks

You can gain a few 3-5 HP with the xpipe and it will improve the sound of the stingers also.

The pipes that come stock on the car are H-pipe, so with an X-pipe set up, the exhausts can flow much quicker and the balance is much better as well.

With the quicker flow and better balance you can pick up a few ponies, but its more of a part that is used to compliment the headers...I would wait on the X-pipe until you get a set of headers...

All it would do now is make the noise a bit louder...but nothing significant until you bolt on a set of headers...

X pipe has positives in every area in performance, only real "negitive" is it can make your exhaust raspy depending on the setup you go with. I have a bassani X pipe with the high flow cats for a little restriction and the bassani mufflers and I get 0 farts, pops, raspyness /sp? whatsoever
