I'm deciding wether to fully bore out my V6...full turbo, all motor crap or just swap a V8...or sell it and get a GT! lol...

How much power can a V6 put out? Or should I just get a GT?

yes.  if you think you can make a sixer fast then you must have a big ass budget or be very very dumb.

If your gonna swap the motor, might as well go with a 351w (my favorite!).  You can get loads of power cheap outta one of those, and they can be stroke to 408 cubes if you have an itch for it.

I'll probably just trade the V6 when I get it for a 99ish GT...It'll be much easier. Thanks for the input!

Yeah there is no sub for a V8, but V6's can be fast as hell with the right mods and the right driver. I have a buddy here on post that has a V6 and he is pushing 400hp @ 5150 and 445 lbf @ 4500. Its fast and spanks cobra's, GT's and of course ricers.

But I won't lie he spent an ass load of money on it, so you make the call.

Look at it this way any mustang you have is better than a rice burner!

Point in this grand plan is to have FUN and you can do that without bankrupting yourself if you decide up front you don't HAVE to outrun EVERYBODY.

I KNOW I'm not gonna outrun the 'Vettes or Vipers or Porshe's or even most of the working-man cars like T/A's, etc. But as long as I can spank a few paddy waders from time to time and I can keep upping the ante a little all the time, I'll be happy.

BTW, half the fun is the attention. Girls like the looks of a nice V6 as much as they like the looks of a Rousch. My wife has noticed that.

Again, the POINT IS HAVE FUN!!!

If you gotta win all the time, see the bank manager.

REMEMBER: efficiency = joy, so do the best you can with what you got.

SUPER CHARGE THE MOFO. if you get a pr charger you can get  345 horsepower

Using the 11 psi tuner kit, a 1999 Mustang with automatic transmission recently ran a 13.38 ET @ 105.4 mph at Kansas City International Raceway. The vehicle was stock with the exception of Flowmaster exhaust, a 3.73:1 gear and drag radials, and was running 91 Octane fuel.  The 2004 gt only has 260 you would kill a gt. go here and see what im talkin bout. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv6ati.htm

Yeah V6 are pretty damn fast and you will get a lighter top end on them since the engines are not as big as the v8.  You are looking at some money and BBK and other companies are putting a lot of research into the v6 engines they have a lot of things coming out for the v6.  Reason being the v6 are a lot more less expensive in some cases then the v8.  So there are starting to be a lot more v6 out there in the newer mustangs.  So they are reasearching, check the issue of 5.0 Mustang & SUPER FORDS Feburary 2004 issue it haves THE BOSS is back on the front.  They give a quick list on how to add 100 hp extra to a v6 with quick install bolt ons.  v6 or v8 you still are going to spend money on mods, you will just have to add more to the v6 then you would on the v8 to get a lot more power.  But if you can afford to swap out the 351 Windsor or 351 Cleveland.  The Cleveland is one bad mambajama and if you can fit it in and get you a hood cut for a blower then thats all the power you need if you do want one check out the AL's Toy Box, they have pre bored and polished 351w and clevelands with super chargers and what not....bad assa.

Ford is experimenting with a 351ci V-10 engine too to get everyones hopes up.

most of that was the nitrous install though .  i won't doubt the potential of the V6...but it just takes so much time/money to do it.  but hey, if you got either one of those (time/money), then go for it.

yea, but while in the process of putting... say 500 into a 6shooter, arent you going to spend almost that much getting it installed, because i have money put aside for parts, but i got no friends that are gearheads.
