Default Major CD changer malfunction

Hey everyone, this is my first post and I must say there is a lot of nice info here. I just got my 2001 GT 5-speed which I am pleased with thus far except for one thing which I have a problem and a question for. A buddy accidently placed a DVD into the CD changer (slot 5) and once we realized it, we tried to eject it and all it says is "CD ERROR" and it won't eject or play ANY cd that is already in it. And the *lid* thing won't close on it either if that matters. Is it stuck or what in the heck can I do to get this back in propper working order. I appreciate any help, thanks guys!

My Mach 460 cd player gets jammed from time to time if a cd is scratched, odd but anyways...

If you look closely the cd probably did rise and slide out just a touch, I found the trick is to take another cd and gently push the stuck cd back, it doesn't need to go far, and it'll come shooting out. On certain occasions I had to wiggle another cd under the stuck one to get it to lift enough to slide out...

if you can find an owners manual, it should say there. this is different, but when i got my jvc hu, it said if a cd gets stuck in the player, hold the eject button for 5 seconds and it will shoot the cd out. i dont know if that will work on the changer, ou might have to disassemble the changer[:-]. not sure though.

I have not had this problem with my Mustang, but I have had it with my 2002 Escape, just push it CD in a little, it will reengage with the eject mechanism and come out, make sure the player isnot scratching the CD like mine does sometimes.
