v6stang16 its not very smart to insult and criticise people on a forum that you are tryin to get help from! i just got a 2004 6er bout a month ago im 18 and just started learning about cars. and i think i learned more about cars on this site than i could have anywhere else. you just have to know how treat the people who are helping you. so just take this as a lesson and move on wit it!!!

I'm in the same boat, although I dont yet have my Mustang. I've learned a ton about cars from this site, and im glad for it because i knew next to nothing about cars before i got here.

If y'all want to talk about a dog of a vehicle, I'm driving a 3.0L Ranger, so i don't want to hear about how slow the 3.8's are :P

Am I the only one who thinks I just wasted 5 mins of my life reading this thread?

V6Stang, you need to calm down or be banned from here, usually people who act like you do don't last too long here.  You are getting called a n00b cause you keep acting like one.  V6 Mustangs are NOT fast.  Quick, yes, fast, no.  However, I saw where your post is coming from and it is kinda funny that he thinks a vtec Civic is "teh FAST!".  Idk why so many people get hardons when they see Vtec, but that mess still sucks ass.

And am I the only one who found nothing wrong with Xemeths initial post?  I probably would have said the same thing.

I hope this gets moved to V6 Discussion soon, cause this isn't a tech related thread at all

I didn't find anything wrong with it, either, but I may be a bit bias...

haha, that's great. too bad you probably don't live around the cecil county drags, i would kill to see you smoke him in that race.

I've never been to Cecil, how is it there? I think running at the track is kinda lame if you have an auto, maybe when I get a tuner and if I can get an M112 on my car I'll do it, but an auto sixer with just an exhaust isn't going to impress anyone.

Oh, and my friend's dad owns some expensiveee vert Mercedes with some engine work done, and he ran 11.9 down there. They got kicked off the track after that because anything under 12 has to have some safety or something?

i don't know why he'd get kicked off for running an 11.9.  some tracks 11.49 or 10.99 requires a cage.  alls he should need is a helmet.

Eh, well, mine is a dog, yours might have been better. Mine's a 98 4x4 extended cab, so its pulling around a little extra weight, and it's auto.

Well I've only owned two cars, my old 98 V6 stang, and my 95 5.0, so you know how I feel about my old 98, it was slow (when I bought it) and wasn't exactly fast when I traded it in, but yea, the old 2.3L was sloooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww.

my first car was a '97 civic hx........now i have a 5.0 trading a little bit of gas mileage for torque is well worth it! plus the civic crapped out at 90k miles and my stang has 140k+ and is showing no signs of slowing down

Mine was an 03 extended cab (fully loaded) with an auto and it hauled azz. Now my 94 Ranger with a 2300 was a real turd, must have been the slowest thing on the road..lol
