Default I need a body shop in SA to cut my V6 bumper

Does anyone around here know a good body shop in the San Antonio area that might be willing to cut the drivers side of my rear bumper for a dual exhaust? I want to keep the V6 bumper but can't find anyone willing to do it. I think it looks really good and don't want to swap for a GT bumper. I don't have the tools nor the confidence to do it myself right now.

I know what ya mean.....but you know what, I'm going to try cutting it myself. There is a template in the How To thread. One guy on here used a jig saw. I may just go out and purchase a dremel. It would be a useful tool anyway.

If you are still too concerned about messing up, there are 275 body shops in your area. Click below and just call around for estimates;

Thanks 07Stang. Finding a body shop hasn't been the problem. Finding 1) a reputable shop, and 2) one that's willing to do this and gives me a warm fuzzy has been the issue but thanks.

i just looked at some dremmels today as a matter of fact! I may get the cajones to do this after all! I've got a place waiting for me to get my act together to do the exhaust but they don't want to try and tackle the cutout.

It is realy easy to do!! I was really scared but do some practice cuts on the insde of where you will end up cutting and then slowly cut it and file it away.What I did was used the body shops toolsthat put the dual exhaust on for me. That worked great because they had the perfect tools to do it. So find a body shop that will do your exhaust and talk to them about it and see if they have the tools. Most places will allow you and help you out a lot!!!GOOD LUCK!!!

agreed its easy i have cut three for guys. take blue masking tape and cover the area then cut the template and mark on the tape. you can take a rotozip or dremil with a small cutter cut inside the line leaving about a 1//4 inch, then you can test fit the muffler. i then used the drum sander attachment to smooth and finish off the opening and touched up the edge with my touch up paint.

good luck lots of use have done it.
