Chapter 21 (or 23), " 120, 130, 150, She's gone!" atomsk680 06-29-2007, 03:47 AM which one was it? 67SuperSnake 06-29-2007, 03:51 AM GN60 - 2 Nick Cage, and the vixen (I meant the car), ha Angelina Jolie is hot! http://www.cinema.cz/image/20050608215638_bigd-scan395-AngelinaJolie-23.jpg blueovalboy7 06-29-2007, 04:04 AM yea thats funny, i just finished watching it. gotta love the go baby go button. that car is simply beautiful. mustube 06-29-2007, 04:41 AM "This is a Nastar sir... not an apache..." Great movie Sprzout 06-29-2007, 05:17 AM I like the original better. Something about the fact that H.B. Halicki beat the crap out of that car, broke his back doing one of the jumps, and when the movie's almost over, swaps it in a car wash...Great flick, and perhaps one of the best car chases EVER recorded (better than Bullitt's Charger/Mustang chase). 67SuperSnake 06-29-2007, 05:17 AM -Suspect travelling southbound at 90 miles an hour. - Stay with him, Air One! - I'm all over him! - Suspect has increased speed to 120. - Maintain visual, Air One. - 140 miles an hour! - Do not lose him! -This is an A-Star, sir, not an Apache. - 150! 160! He's gone.God!Man, this guy can drive! andrewmp6 06-29-2007, 05:31 AM the 74 one i believe still has the longest car chase the junkman had the most things wrecked and blown up.is it me or theres more early mustangs in music videos now. fergie's big girls dont cry video has a 70 fastback kelly clarkson never again video has a 67/68 restomod. jack ingram's mesure of a man video has a nice yellow 70 mach1. most of them are best watched muted tho. 73 Sportroof 06-29-2007, 09:54 AM Last of the Mustangs. Last of the V8s. Eleanor. The original car chase was 40 min long. There is one part in it that the car is almost out of gas and a few seconds later it is almost full. Fun movie. I found a copy on vhs in a bargain bin in 1994. I had never heard of it before, but it had a 73 jumping through a billboard on the cover so I had to get it. I got the dvd special edition that they released after the new one came out. I wonder when they will remake Smokey and the Bandit? Two lane blacktop, C.B.s and a truck load of Coors. I don't think it could happen now, it would have to be in the 70s. 67 evil eleanor 06-29-2007, 11:47 AM I like the original and the remake as well. I think in the original, when he smacked the pole, he suffered some serious injuries. No computer animation in that one. Thats gotta hurt. THUMPIN455 06-29-2007, 02:55 PM Take a closer look at the scene with the helo. He is turning like 6000 rpm and doing about 90 mph by the gauges, then he hits he nitrous button and runs up to 160mph. I didnt know a 427 could turn 12,000 rpm. There are other goofs in that flick, but that one stands out. I guess its the observational skill the military taught me, and the background in automotive technology/engineering/racing that prevents me from enjoying something that is obviously based in fantasy. I have a tough time with military movies that have technical inaccuracies also, so it isnt just this movie. All the Fast and Fictitious movies grate on me, and insult my intelligence.. :) Thankfully I saw them free in the desert. Gone in 60 seconds is an ok movie and the car is sorta interesting, but not a great movie. Bullit has a nice chase scene but the rest of the movie is boooooooring. I am a cynical bastige anyway. mustube 06-29-2007, 03:57 PM The stang in the Kelly Clarkson video looks like a 69 coupe with a vinyl roof. PX429 06-29-2007, 04:01 PM ORIGINAL: THUMPIN455 I didnt know a 427 could turn 12,000 rpm. It's an aluminum 351w and yeah that specific motor can turn 10,000 rpms easttennmotors 06-29-2007, 04:07 PM Why does the speedo in Gone in 60 seconds on Eleanor only go to 120, isnt that a 6 cylinder speedo, He has Shelby gauges, A mustang Speedo, And a sport comp tach... www.easttennmotors.com fast65 06-29-2007, 04:15 PM I watched it last night to, gotta love the car! 66 stang 06-29-2007, 04:25 PM lovve that movie that car, and jolie [8D][8D][8D][8D] sixtysix 06-29-2007, 04:26 PM Just got the 40th anniversary issue of Rolling Stoine magazine-there is a photo of the grateful dead on the corner of haight/ashbury taken in 1967-and guess what is parked right behind them-you guessed it-a 66 or 67 mustang !!!! pretty cool-my favorite band and favorite car in one pix! jaw66 06-29-2007, 09:32 PM Didn't Halicki die filming a sequel to the original........... atomsk680 06-29-2007, 09:34 PM ORIGINAL: jaw66 Didn't Hilacki die filming a sequel to the original........... it wasnt a sequal but he died because of a stunt gone wrong Celtic37 06-30-2007, 12:24 AM Speaking of stunts gone wrong, in XXX with Vin Diesel, near the end where the bomb thingy goes underwater, that stuntman died, and think Vin Diesel wanted to do that stunt himself. 67SuperSnake 06-30-2007, 12:28 AM My Eleanor on the Dyno today.. <br>http://thumbs.vidiac.com/bfc68576-ace2-4547-a592-995c016f5481.jpg (http://videos.streetfire.net/video/bfc68576-ace2-4547-a592-995c016f5481.htm)<br><br>Click here to see Video (http://videos.streetfire.net/video/bfc68576-ace2-4547-a592-995c016f5481.htm) Switch to Windows Media player and go full screen.... |
