Came across a few "new" superchargers on eBay tonight. They are advertising 550hp with a modified twin cooled Series VI, 12 pound pulley, 39 pound injectors, and a specific SALEEN flash.
What gives with these kits? I was thinking the stock 3V wouldn't take 500+ ponies without being forged? And Saleen is saying its OK?

It wont blow up your engine, trust me. its JDM tuned. That said, I wouldnt under any circumstance let anyone re-tune it. We wouldnt sell a product that would blow up your engine, its bad for business.

OK, so its fairly safe with the JDM tune..but I ask again, can a person add the needed pulley and assorted parts needed to an existing series VI S/C, or is this a "different" S/C?

Did you ever install that 475hp kit I sent you last year? Last I heard you still hadn't installed it!
fyi JDM used to sale C&L type tube between the MAS and throttle body. Now they like the 475 upgrade or Saleen E tube. Among other things I think it's becausewe don't have to lower the engine. But yes, apulley change and JDMtune w/ the x-cal2you should be there with your 475 kit. And yes it is worth it! If you liked the 475 upgradeover the 435 you'll really like the 540or 550! lol

Yep..its installed! I haven't sent the PCM out to be programmed yet because I have been building a new home. We installed the S/C and assorted parts, but thats the farthest I have gotten. The house has been a significant undertaking.
I am thinking about upgrading, as I see the parts are available thru JDM. I wonder if I could have my PCM flashed at Saleen for the 550 package vs. the 475 package since I am entitled to a flash anyways? Anyone know?
I am a little worried about the tune and the boost pressures, but I'm still tempted.
