Horrible death - Terminated, I am Jack's utter shock

So, it was bound to happen, I went to the gas station to get some 100 octane good stuff, a Black Terminator was behind me waiting to get his fill. He gets out and starts talking about Mustang's which is a good subject for me. He gives my car the thumbs up and asks if I want to have a go on the way out?

I asked if he was stock or what and he was pretty honest when he said I don't care whats done to your Stang, I'm going to kill it. I told him mine wasn't exactly defensless either to which he replied, s'ok lets go. Now I'm thinking holy crap is he cocky, the last guy who predicted my arse whould be whupped lost pretty bad but then it wasn't driving a friggin Terminator either. He started the car up, it loped, he had massive Nitto's on the back and it was LOUD. I heard no blower at all, turbo's maybe, who knows, I heard no blow off valve either.

We end up going South on McClean (spelled wrong, oh well) and at the light before the Harley dealer we wait for the green and nail it, I get a pretty good hole shot on him and then all hell broke loose and he was just plain gone, I mean not he walked me gone, he shot off like the Jolly friggin green giant kicked it! I can honestly say that car had to be in the very very low 10's dare I say possibly 9's?? My God man if you post on here explain the cars setup and thanks so much for making me feel like my car runs 20's. As fast as he went by I forgot to see his plate, not that I would have had enough time to note it, sheeeesh.

Yeah but to be honest I don't mind, I was just in such shock when he nailed it, it's hard to put into words how hard he pulled. I want a chance to see the car again, I hope he posts here, I'm going to post at Chicago SVT and see if he responds there.

Sounds like you ran into a really bad ass car. Now you tell these people what kinds of cars are out roaming the streets in the Chi-town area.

what a cocky dude. if you are gonna kill it why would you even offer a race?? sounds like a damn fast car. maybe whipped. when you got him off the line and then he passed by you, did you hear any blower or turbo?

I was at the track on June 17 in Maryland (Mason Dixon Dragway) and there was a 2002 Cobra with a masive turbo
running 10.1 in the 1/4 (I have videos of that run) the car was bad ass and it is a total street car, he drove it there.

I took some pics of it on my camera phone..

This is what I would do if I were to build a monster, 4V 4.6 cobra with a turbo kicks ass

Ouch... sounds like a badarse terminator though atleast....

btw.. that's not an 02' Cobra - they didn't make them (except for 200 aussie style ones), thats an 03/04.. and a lot of Terminator guys aren't going turbo anymore... 2.8H KB or the new 3.4 Whipple is the new thing.

I guess he had reason to be cocky, he actually reminded me of guys who I used to race against back in the 80's in Chicago, they were all like that. I think I got him off the line because if he nailed it from the hole shot he would have gone up in smoke so he took it easy and nailed it when he knew it would grab best. It was obvious he knew what was going to happene so didn't mind me getting out first. Oh well what can ya do you know?

Had this guy had wheels like that I would have at least had a clue, his tires were huge for street tires but didn't give anything away. I knew I was in trouble when he started it but who says no to losing to a Terminator? It's an honorable death I think, yeah thats it, going with that one.
