Flowmasters and dumps FTW! I have heard good things about SLP's, I may try those when I replace my flows!

I have 40 flows on mine with everything else being stock and it rumbles pretty good. The idle is not real loud but when you go threw the gears it sounds good, especially between 3,000 and 4,000rpms. It satisfied me for awhile but I plan on eventually getting LT's and a H pipe. Hope this helps!

I'm assuming you have a vert?
If so, any of these systems will sound much louder in your car than in a coupe.
Some of them drone so badly your ears will pop!

That being said, keep your stock H-pipe and get a Bassani or Magnaflow catback.
Both have a nice rumble but are not obnoxious and won't make your ear drums ache.
They are also well made of 304 stainless and will last forever.

I have Magnaflow X pipes and Flowmaster 40's and the sounds is great.  There is a slight drone, but it's not that big of a problem.

I have Flowmaster on now and they sound good with no drone, but I'm a big fan of SLP and will switch soon.

I have a Mac off-road h-pipe with American Thunder Flowmasters.  I must say there is a little drone at 2500 rpm, but it is tolerable.  A gear change will adjust that though.

i have bbk headers and h pipe with dual flowmaster 40 series. if you dont dump them you dont get a drone. the flows have rpms ranges where they get really loud though. i think 40 series is usuallly around 2500-3000rpm when they get worst drone. i never hit that drone though because i either shift before that driving normal or my engines rpms are flying right by that range and it isnt noticable :)

Simply switching out the midpipe will add more "throat" to the exhaust as well.
