Default New Exhaust videos... what a differnece.

So today I got new exhaust because the old ones were rusting and breaking. They only had Flowmaster 40's so I just went with them. They are really nice, even the 2 and a 1/4 pipes.

My New 2 1/4 Flowmasters:

The idle is pretty solid, almost like an 8 cylinder. And up high is awsome. and my dog was wining in the beginning of the video.

My Old 2 1/2 Macs:

They have more of a tone to them, but not as much beef.

You be the judge.

Well the Flowmasters sound better, but far from a V8.

not "that" far... it's got that low rumble andbumpy idle. I mean an 8 with flows would sound a lot different... but it's kinda like the stock 8.

oh well... I wasn't going for a V8 (yes... vegetable juice ) sound anyway, I just wanted it to sound nice and not be falling off.

I "polished" one of the tips earlier. It looks pretty good... here are a few pictures

Left one... un"polished":

Right on... "polished" It still has some steel dust on it.

I used a metal file to round of the edged of the pipe scince they cut the tips with a sawzaw. Then I used steel whool until I got a cloudy kind of luster. Then I used regular car polish and rubbed that in with steel whool to make it shine. I plan on doing the other one first thing tommorow.

MAC's and Flows sound pretty similar in a catted setup, but from what i have heard MAC's sound like total crap on a O/R setup. I have flows (removed cats) and they sound pretty decent.
