Thats the only way TO shift when testing a car... So, you are saying a stock mach 1 with 305 hp(somewhat underrated) can do a low 13, and the new cobra(390 hp) runs 12.9?? Something doesn't seem right. It seems the Mach 1 would be slower than two or three tenths compared to the cobra.

i know a dude that owns's a new 2003 cobra with 390 hp, actually puttin out around 420-425 hp, and he took it to the track stock and ran 12.4's and is some other dude else had one ran a 12.3s so yea a mach 1 is a high 12 low 13 second car

No offense, I don't buy it. First, a new Cobra can't run low 12's. Its rated at 12.9, so you may get 12.6-12.7, but not much more than that stock. Second, a Mach 1 can't touch low 13's, much less high 12's. I know a couple tenths doesn't sound like much difference, but when you are going 100mph or so, its quite a distance. I love Fords and have for 21 years, but you gotta quit stretching the numbers at some point...
MM&FF got a 12.6 out of one with a 2.2 60' time I believe. And the Mach1 is about as quick as the OLD Cobras which could do 13.4 or so. It's actually maybe a tenth or two quicker.

he's not touching 13's stock, thats as farfetched as you think a mach running low 13's is.
also...are you alive today? yes. that would make you a person nowadays. that would mean you dont know jack s**t about cars yourself...
and yet another thing...what the hell does your dads 88 have to do with anything especially people supposedly not knowing anything (when really it's you that doesnt know anything), and even if we (who know machs run low 13's) were wrong, what of you looking up numbers from some jackoff magazine of your dads makes you so smart about cars?
