Before anyone ever came up with a gas/electric hybrid people were swapping engines. My hybrid is a '88 crx with a b16 engine in it. It's a hybrid becuase it is the body of one car with the internals of another. And I don't have to rev at mustangs because they come after me. I think people hear me driving quickly, shifting at 5,200 rpm, and think that's all I got, and they need to show me what a fast car is. Then they find out that VTEC switches at 5,200 and I still have 3k more revs to go. The guy in the Bullitt gave me plenty of respect after we raced, and I gave him an equal amount. The only reason I posted in this thread was to say that a lot of people don't know how to race a honda from a 5mph roll, and that in my experience a civic with 190+ hp is faster than a mustang, but I understand that it depends on the civic, because they aren't all as light as mine. So to BlueStang, good kill, and to the people who misunderstood what I was saying... class dismissed.

Class dismissed? As if you taught us a lesson. My buddy has a Civic with the SIR motor B16 and I've smoked him many a time. You beating GTs and Bullets is far from believable. Im not trying to be an asshole, but if you only have a B16 + some bolts ons like exhaust intake etc, I dont see that happening. Yes your car is light as balls, but that is still no match for raw torque and piston pumping horsepower. Im calling your bluff on this one, class dismissed.

Yeah...the new STI can rip it up...lol. The EVO isn't too bad either. We're not talkin' 18 second quarters here folks!

i dont wanna start a fight, the mach 1 is fast and thats all that matters, different cars run different times not all mach 1's are the same as the other.

I've NEVER seen a stock Mach 1 get LS1 Corvette times... Just don't seem to have the torque to me. Pre-03 Cobras weren't in the 12s, and the stats are pretty much identical. I could be wrong, but I don't think so...

OK...Mach's are fast...lol. It doesn't matter what they run...lol. It all depends on what you want the car for. If you want a drag car...Mach...if you want a daily driver / weekend warrior for the circuit...STI. Period.

i know, but the sti and evo are generally compared as rivals and are made for the same purpose and i find the evo to be superior. they even look better.
