Default Brake Pads

I am looking for a good brake pad that will do well on the road and road coarse racing a few times a year. I do not want to change the pads each time if I do not have to. I think true racing pads will wear out the rotors and not work as well on the road.

Any ideas? I have a track event the first weekend in August.
