I have a 99 3.8. Everytime I come to a stop my idle drops below 500 and wants to stall. I checked my TPS and all the connections around it still nothin. You guys havin the same problem or do I have gremlins?

clean the IAT sensor with brake cleaner

Cool I'll give that a shot. Is that a typical problem even with the 8's?

what was the tps reading? go ahead and clean the throttle body as well as the egr,

Thanks for the advice I'll check those next. My tps reading was 0.7 volts. My book said this was ok. Sound about right? Went ahead and cleaned tha IAT just like Mdvaldosta said, seems to help a little.

I posted that above originally too but I edited it out real quick lol cause I wasnt sure if it was the same on the 3.8's as the 5.0's.  Glad to see it is.

  Could be the idle air control also,they stick sometimes.
