Default '67 Coupe

I just picked up a '67 200 coupe. It has a lot of surface rust and in the wheel wells and right through the floor. I've never restored a car before but I'm looking forward to getting started. I'm not really sure where to start though. It isn't running, at least I haven't tried to turn it over because it sat in the elements for 10 years without ever being run. I know that the gas will turn to varnish if it just sits, but does that mean I need to replace the gas tank up to the carberator? I'm pretty sure everything is original, but it's seen better days. I'm going to be restoring it for my wife and she says she wants it completely restored.

Like I said I've never done this before and I'm not sure where to start so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome,I am new here myself,I would not even attempt torun the motor from that old tank, run it from a can for now,as far as floors go they are really cheap thruNPD or any# of other retailers who sell just about anything you should need, one bit of advise is that OEM fits much better than reproduction parts,Good luck with the project,Matt
