Got a quote from ford....over $600 to get a new driver seat that is motorized!!!!!
Dang, that can't be! What is my next alternative? I don't care about a motorized
seat...would rather have manual anyway; what can I do?
Mustang is a 1995

Yea the junkyard is your best bet. You'll probably need to get BOTH front seats from the donor car so they'll match each other, but that also means you can probably shop from a range of different car years not just 1995.
You can probably get BOTH front seats, shampooed & installed for way less than the cost of one new driver seat.

WOW!Great Ideas! And, Corvetteguy even got me numbers and prices!
Thanks SO much for everyone's replies....I will check numbers, plus I know someone who had to call around to junkyards last year...I hope he still has though numbers handy....if not, will check yellow pages.
Don't know why I didn't think of junk yards...I have always just ordered stuff...
Thanks again :-)

ps: We messed around with the seat last night and got it moved up some...the motor works, but doesn't move the seat forwards or backwards, but it will still go up and down....my son got in the back seat and while I flipped the switch on to move it forwards, he used all his force with his feet and was able to inch it forward bit by bit. I can at least drive it now (I'm pretty short) until we check out these others places.
Whew.....sure hope it pans out...I can't afford $680 for one seat....
