I am curious as to know one thing from anyone that reads this thread. I want on to the club4geclipse website and viewed their forum. A number of them claim to have beaten several 05 and up Mustang GT's stock by 2 or more car lengths. Has anyone here other then myself ever raced and beaten a 4 G eclipse. Those little ****subishi tuner morons are peeing me off!!! I ask because they all dis the stang, say it runs the low 14's stock, and would get walked by an eclipse GT. So, what is the verdict!

For the horsepower they will give the New Edge Mustangs a run for our money, since they are 260hp stock and they are lighter. 05+ Mustang should have no problem making them grab their ankles.

2 friends of mine have new gen eclipses, they're not slow but nor fast as a S197 V8, flooring the car makes excesive wheelspin at almost any speed, thats the most sucky part of the car ... 0 traction.
The good thing (for us) is that is practically 0 aftermarket parts for them performance-wise compared to us.

the new eclipse are mid-high 14 second cars. the 05+ GTs are mid-high 13 second cars. those must have been roll races, they're a second behind the 05+.

i raced one like 4 times from a roll on the interstate. it wasn't even worth my time. not fast. probably a high 14 second car if that.
ps they're expensive too, wtf. who wants a slow expensive "sports car" GAAAYY... buy a 350z or a r8x. at least they look good and have potential.

Stang9946, are you talking about the eclipse pulling a 13/6 stock, or a stang gt? I know for a fact the eclipse barely hits low 14's stock with a decent driver. A stang, with decent driver, can do about a 13.4. I run a 13.2. I kill every eclipse I come up to that tries me. By at least 2 or more car lengths. They are not that fast. I figured you guys would have raced them if you have an 05 plus stang gt.
